History of AS KOHIMO


Our company began the professional activity in the field of installation of tanks, pipelines and reinforced concrete structures since 1953.

Over the decades, as part of the Koksokhimmontazh trust, the Baltic Installation Enterprise has built many objects in Estonia and abroad. Together with other enterprises took parti in the construction of practically all industrial facilities in Estonia.

Baltic Installation Enterprise took part in the construction of factories – Volta, Pegelmanna, Ceosil, Eestifosforiit, Tarbeklaas, brick factory in Võru, oil shale processing factory in Kohtla-Järve and many others. All over Estonia, we carried out installation works in the construction of fuel and oil storage facilities, also in agricultural and food processing facilities. The objects include the metal structures of TV tower in Tallinn and tropical house of Tallinn Zoo. In France executed installation of gas ducts for coke ovens.

In 1990, the Baltic Installation Enterprise was reorganized and on its basis was created the small enterprise KOHIMO.
Joint-stock company KOHIMO with 100% Estonian capital was founded in 1991. The company has successfully continued its activities, specializing in the installation of tank farms, pipelines and the manufacture of metal structures. All major terminals in the Estonian ports of Muuga, Sillamäe, Paldiski were built with AS Kohimo participation. In Latvia have been installed the storage tanks at the terminals Ventbunkers, Ventnafta, Ventamonjaks.
